The chart information in My Local Almanac is in every Old Farmer's Almanac but the numbers are national, which means approximate for your location. To get specific, accurate information for your location you have to perform a calculation. The formula is also in every Almanac and it is not too hard, but it can feel a little like homework. Our My Local Almanac product does the calculations for you!
Important: This product observes daylight savings time. If you live in an area that doesn't observe daylight savings time, such as Arizona or parts of Indiana, then this product will be inaccurate and it is not recommended.
Thank you for responding with the attachment for printing.
Excellent as always. Have been utilizing OFA information for most of my 70 years!
Very informative as always.
Very good and useful do not have to do any conversations to Boston!!
I get this every year, it comes in very handy and no need to do the time conversions as it is already done for you!
This is the third or fourth year I've purchased a local almanac, and I enjoy the local details it gives me. I'm a fan of astronomy, and it's fun to track moon phases, sunrise and sunset times. Excellent resource!
Just a handy little device to watch the days grow longer - and shorter plus Koon phases etc. etc. etc!
I appreciate the local times for sun and moon events, and tides!
Thank you for offering this option. I have purchased the Farmers Almanac every year since I can remember. My father always had one be his chair. He wasn't a farmer but thought he could grow anything in our Western NY garden. Grateful you still publish both for us with green thumbs!
This is supposed to be LOCAL, geared to Tucson AZ zipcode 85749. Why doesn't it take into account that Arizona - including this zipcode - does NOT go to Daylight Saving Time? Not very good for about 8 months of the year. Very dissatisfied.
I utilized my Farmers Almanac and did not make the necessary adjustments for my time zone (Central). I am quite pleased. Still learning my way around the Almanac and enjoying myself.
It was a good idea on the part of those who work on the "Old Farmer's Almanac" to offer the "My Almanac" publication.
The My Local Almanac is very helpful in finding local sunrise and sunset times, as well as moon rise and set times, along with the moon's age on any given date. I find the sunrise/sunset times very useful in setting mechanical timers for outdoor lights at our church. The tide tables are only useful if you live near a body of water with significant tides.
This is a great great product. For years I carried a note card with conversion from Boston to my area. Then you published the Southern Edition. I could use it anywhere in Ga and not be off more than minutes anywhere in GA. You quit the Southern Edition. Buttttt the new edition by zip code is even BETTER! I order it, it appears in minutes and I print it. Thank you! I still purchase the Boston edition but use the zip code version most. Been using the Almanac for over 50 years, Thank you. Earl R. Forsythe
How do I retrieve "My Local Almanc" for zip 18472 my order number is 437981.
Useful and accurate
Has all the pertinent info, with the time adjustments already figured in for your specific locale! Very Handy Indeed!
Excellent !!! *****
For decades I used the New England Edition and had to make conversions to my location. A pain but it worked. Then The Southern Edition appeared wit Atlanta, Ga (my home) as the reference point. It was accurate to within 5 minutes anywhere in the state. When the Southern Edition was no longer published I discovered the local edition to my zip code. It is great and I purchase the New England edition to make conversions anywhere else I need. Love the local edition and you can not beat the low price of $3.95. Thanks
