The best tick remover is the one that you have with you.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends fine-tipped tweezers to remove ticks. The problem is no one carries fine-tipped tweezers with them. And if you are over 45 you’ll need your reading glasses as well to grab the tick properly.

When you find a diease-spreading tick on you, your child, or dog you’ll want it out as fast as possible and you won’t want to touch it with your fingers. This is why The Old Farmer’s Almanac General Store recommends tick removers by the Tick Key Company.

  • Sold in a 3 pack for sharing or keeping in multiple locations
  • Attaches to key chains, dog collars, leashes, saddles, and backpacks
  • Lays flat in your wallet or pocket too
  • Won’t break because it is made in the USA from high-strength anodized aluminum

Easy and Safe Tick Removal Tool

The best part is that the Tick Key removal tool is safe, proven, and easy to use. Just place it over the tick as close to the skin as possible and start sliding. The tick is drawn securely down into the V-shaped slot of the Tick Key. Then you lift and the tick is extracted quickly. The Tick Key tick removal device takes the guesswork out of the procedure. No wondering if you got the mouthparts of the tick.

Made in USA
Colors: Blue, Red, and Yellow
Disinfect after use

How to Remove Ticks & Stop Lyme Disease:

Tick Key is the best product ever for removing ticks. We have had one for several years and have used it MANY times on our dog. Ticks come off whole, no "parts" of the tick are left behind. I would give it a rating of a perfect "10"! Great product, and very easy to use.

Your instructions do not detail whether the smaller pointy end of the Key should be slid under the butt end of the tick as you pull the Key's V forward toward the tick's head, effectively sliding the Key under the little monstrosity's behind, up underneath to nestle the front of the tick into the V -- which makes the best sense. Is that the way the Key is used?

It doesn't really matter which way you slide because with the Tick Key you are not pulling the tick out by the body or butt, but by the head as close as to the mouth-parts as possible.

i am not saying the product does not work but if you do not know how to properly remove a tick with out it and no matter the size then let me educate you. you must turn the tick counter-clockwise. that is opposite of the direction that it bores into the flesh. I have removed at least 100 ticks from not only myself but several animals over the years. the problem i see with the "key" is the same problem as just pulling it out as stated to the side. the mouth parts could still break causing fluids from the tick to get in your blood stream as well as remnants remaining, wich is the cause of contracting whatever it has i.e. lymes disease.

Ticks and their mouthparts are not shaped like screws with threads. It is a myth that you must turn them counterclockwise to remove (Lefty Loosey Righty Tighty). Ticks have symmetrical mouthparts with backward facing barbs. A twisting action in either direction with loosen the barbs grip on flesh.

Tick tools made to twist will work, but they are plastic and not convenient or comfortable to carry with you. Think of a small toothbrush but instead of bristles there is a hook.

When you discover a tick on you, your child, or pet you will want it out as quickly as possible. There's a good chance you won’t be at home near your medicine cabinet. The best tick remover is the one that you always have with you.

Why we sell the Tick Key:

  • It is easy and comfortable to have with you always. Carry on your key chain or slip in your wallet
  • It is made of aluminum, so it’s lightweight and won’t break
  • We offer Tick Keys in 3 packs so you can share with others or keep in separate locations for convenience (backpack, car, purse)
  • They work! It’s hard to see the detail of the Tick Key in the photos but as you slide the tick down towards the bottom of the deep V groove the shape of its edge creates powerful leverage that is already dislodging the tick and keeping it from breaking apart. By the time you get to the bottom, ticks just come out with a quick pop.

poot 72, this is a link to YouTube of a Veterinarian removing a tick from a dog's ear using the tick key. I bought one of these from my local pet store. Thankfully, I haven't had to use it yet. Thanks to your review I now know how to use it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o050NFSRZr4

The Tick Key does EXACTLY what it says. There's nothing better out there! It's safe and EASY to use- gets the whole tick every time.
I can't tell you how many times the body of the tick had broken away while removing it, leaving the head deeply embedded in me or my dog. Now, that's a thing of the past. I LOVE this product!

Review by the manufacturer. I'm sure that is unbiased.

I have used it 3 times. I have never seen something as effective or easy. If the company is proud of it, they should be.

The folks at Tick Key are biased about their invention. In fact, they are downright proud! Please note, they were upfront and identified themselves.

These are cool! It sure beats tweezers!

Not sure, and don't want to piss you off, but I think we're talking about snake oil. All the reviews are positive, which made me question who was writing, was it the company or the customer.

However, don't you think they should have at least made a video to show how it works. If I could see how it's used then I could figure out to buy or not. Otherwise I think it's snake oil. Company should show more, otherwise I'll blow off something that may have worked, but not having more information, No Deal.

I understand how you feel. I bought it when it was on the discontinued shelf. I wish I had bought more of them.

So far we have used it 3 times. I wish I could say it failed us once, but it hasn't.

Just buy one and try it. How much will you be out? The darn thing does work.

I just wish they made it bigger so it could open bottles.
