This Handbook is GREAT for people who are inexperienced at gardening it is the best book I have ever read. I have been gardening since I was eight years old!! I am now Sixty years old & I still love to garden! This hand book refreshes my experiences , too. I just love the Old Farmers Almanac it's just GREAT for serious home gardening it helps answer questions about bugs too. Yes I still .can , freeze & I love fresh vegetables & fruits

I found it very very great filled with information that I will use for my own personal garden!!!!!! And I also cooked the recipes that it had and I added my own twist to each one also!! And it’s great to add your own twist to all recipes!!!

After receiving the first copy, I have purchased this book for all of my Garden Club members. It is very easy and clear about how to raise most common vegetables with illustrations across from the text.

Informative comprehensive guide for growing vegetables. Has a good reference section for insects and diseases- but really needs to have pictures of the insects / diseases in the book!! Nice book otherwise.
