I am interested in a few of the Maine metal products, but the lack of information stops me from making purchases. Such as the lighthouse above, how high is it, how does it work - do you drill holes and screw it down?
Handcrafted doorstop made from quality steel in Maine. Powder coated with a textured black finish that is tougher than paint. Measures roughly 8.5" tall, 8.5” wide at its base, and 5" from front to back. The weight is about 1.5 lbs.
How it Works
This doorstop props open doors through its unique design, not its weight. The design is cut from flat metal that is 1/16 of an inch thick. It sits on a T shaped base that slides under the door. When in place the design sits flush on the door and a lip on the back of the T shaped base catches the door on the other slide. What's nice about this configuration is there is no heavy chunk of metal to accidentally kick or trip over. Most of the doorstop sits under and behind the door.
