If you previously used our Western or Southern edition, we hope that you enjoy the improvement. This is the only almanac that I will get.
I purchased this for my husband. Since he's always quoting the Almanac's weather predictions, I thought I'd surprise him by ordering this. He loved receiving it. We both did not realize it had some many different articles in it-- including recipes. I even found a recipe I could use on my Ketogenic eating plan!
Love this book! Not only do we use it for outside, I use it for best days to bake. Low humidity is best.
Fun to look at. Great to know what stars are out. Forecasts are nice
Growing up, my Dad was a Deputy, Rancher, Commercial Fisherman and master gardener. We had a house full of kids so... Anyway, I don't recall ever seeing our home without a current copy of The Old Farmers Almanac. It dictated so many aspects of daily life and never seemed to be wrong.
I like the Farmer's Almanac. I thought I was getting the hard back book. It was the paperback version, which still does the job just right!
This made me feel young again like I was reliving my childhood allover
The Old Farmer's Almanac never fails to surprise me with valuable information. I love sitting down with my copy and always finding something that interests me.
very useful in planning motorcycle rides.
For many years I have included readings from the Farmer's Almanac in my monthly radio show. I also played acoustic music from folk, bluegrass, cowboy and Americana musicians. I believe the almanac readings were a unique addition to my show, and sort of a "hallmark" for a radio show.
I love the Farmer's Almanac!!
Have you done reprints of the first ones, and would they be available?
love to have it cant afford it sorry
BEEN READING YOUR BOOK FOR 60 YEARS..JUST AS GOOD AS IT'S EVERY BEEN..KEEP UP THE INTERESTING FACT'S...BLESS YOU!!
This one one of the best books and calendars I've ever had to read and the man is very smart.
One of the most useful books of all time to Farmers, Gardners, and Weather Watchers "in the know!" Everywhere!
I purchase this for my brother. He loves it and swears about it's contents. He never misses a year.
I've been using the Old Farmers' Almanac for years and find it handy for all types of information, anecdotal, weather, astronomical phenomena, agricultural hints, pet information and more. I don't think I'll ever be without it.
Do you have the Almanac in Large Print?
I've read the almanacs from the other guys and they just don't compare! This is the original and best. The planting and weather guides are useful and love the folklore.
I couldn't live without the advice from the Farmers Almanac. It is so full of wisdom!
Enjoy every year
I get this book every year and it is so much fun to see the weather play out just the way they say it will. Amazingly good.
Please send me a copy of the almanac and bill me. I do not use credit cards online.
It is actually 3-5 days after the new moon, which is increasing in size; all the way up to 3-5 days before a full moon. For places you don't want hair to grow it is always after the last quarter only. Before long you will notice a difference either way.
Love the planting guide.
best days to plant peanuts in Va. in June?
I heard that if you cut your hair on one side of Full moon or the other it will grow faster. Which side is it, I;m trying real hard to get my hair to grow. Thanks
Do you have digital versions of the books I can download or just printed that you buy?
When will the next issue come out? Thanks!
Do you still have the Almanac Wall calendars.
I ordered an almanac from an online bookseller; it appears to be the Bookstore edition, with no hole in the corner. Is the paperback Regional almanac the one with the hole in the corner? because if it is, I will purchase it from you!
id like to know about the winter for our community/state lexington n.c.
Hello, I live in Southern Florida however I travel up North quiet a bit to the Midwest (Northern Illinois) and I have been looking into Pen. & N. Carolina to possibly relocate. Should I purchase two different Almanacs for more accurate references? Thank you. ~ Liset
do you have a good recipe to can salsa?
I got my Almanac and Gardening Calendar last week. I love it. The only thing I'm not happy about is a forecast of a mild and dry winter for my area. I was hoping to see some snow :-)
