Description

Great garden accent! It's unusual and sure to spark a conversation.

Our outdoor Galileo Thermometer is suspended by a black metal and plastic structure allowing it to hang in your favorite area of the garden! Please note: although it is able to hang outside, we still advise for best results and longevity, not leaving it out in cold weather and keeping it out of direct sunlight.

How do Galileo Thermometers work?

Galileo Thermometers have a special method of measuring the temperature that was discovered by Galileo Galilei (1564-1642). The glass balls inside the tube have different densities. When the temperature changes, these balls rise and fall accordingly.

To read the temperature, check the group of balls near the top. The lowest ball of that group tells the temperature. If all the balls are at the bottom, it is hotter than the temperature of the top ball. If they are all at the top then it is cooler than the temperature of the bottom ball.
